Submission guidelines 

At antiquery, we are looking for creative works with links to history through subject, them, setting or technique; particularly from young writers (below 25) and senior writers (above 60).

What we accept

• Fiction under 5000 words
• Creative nonfiction under 5000 words
• Poetry (up to 3 pieces per submission cycle)
• Translations
• Visual Art/photography (up to 3 pieces per submission cycle)
• Submissions from those below 25 or over 60. If not in these age groups, please label so in your submission, as they have priority.
• Interpretive, speculative and experimental work.   

What we don't accept

• Pieces that actively endorse discriminatory views and harmful behaviours. Representations of such views and behaviours are obviously permitted, but the encouragement of them will not be accepted.
• Pieces that encourage misinformation about the past.  
• Explicitly sexual pieces. As our publication is directed at youths, it is not appropriate.
• Reviews.
• Audio and video pieces.
• Pieces with no links to history.

How to submit / what to include in your submission 

Written works: Submit manually to us via email at theantiquerymagazine@gmail.com. When submitting, include your name, submission title and the category you're applying to in the subject line. Please assure beforehand that your submission(s) abides to our word / piece limits that are stated above. If they do, they can be sent in to be considered for our magazine. All contributors will recieve an email notifying them of their submissions' success/rejection at a later date.

Please submit your work as a word or Google document attachment.

Visual Art: Submit manually to us via email at theantiquerymagazine@gmail.com .
Pieces should be submitted as an attachment. Pleasure assure you abide by piece limits. Please include your name and submission title in the email subject line, and we recommend sending us a small blurb about your piece. Acceptance process is same as stated above for written works. 

Please submit your work in PNG/PDF form.
